Frank L. "Red" Mumper

Frank L. "Red" Mumper, 91, of Carlisle, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center, Carlisle.
He was born May 11, 1923 in Perry County to the late Frank and Hattie Garland Mumper and was the widower of Madelon Lewis Mumper.
Red was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy as a gunner on the USS Dashiell. He worked in the Receiving Department of Carlisle Tire & Rubber for over 30 years. He was a former member of First Church of God Church and had a passion for astronomy.
He is survived by two sons, Randy (and his wife Linda) Mumper of Mt. Holly Springs and David (and his wife Beverly) Mumper of Carlisle; a sister, Betty (and her husband George) Bentzel of Newville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ruby; a brother, William Mumper; and a sister, Mary Shank.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Michael Poe officiating. Burial will be at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
