Frank J. Meck, Jr.

Frank John Meck, Jr., age 78, of Carlisle passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Claremont Nursing & Rehab Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born December 14, 1938 in Tamaqua to the late Frank J. Meck, Sr. and Hilda E. (Rinkenberg) Meck Lyba.
Frank was a graduate of Penn State University. He retired from the Carlisle Area School District after 15 years of teaching high school drafting. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle, the St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council #4057 and the 4th Degree Bishop J. W. Shanahan Assembly, #917, PIAA Referees and Officials Association, Penn State Alumni Association, the Carlisle Penn State Booster Club.
In addition to his mother, Frank is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Patricia A. (Terry) Meck of Carlisle; a daughter, Terri and (her husband David); and two grandsons, Justin and Adam (and his wife Erica).
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Patrick Catholic Shrine Church, 140 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey as Celebrant. Interment will be private at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, PA. There will not be a viewing or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
