Frances Parsons

Frances R. Parsons, 82, of Carlisle previously of Erie, PA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home.

Born in Corry, PA on October 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Malone.
She was preceded in death by her husband George and her son Frank.

She is survived by her son Jim Parsons and his wife Pattie and their two daughters; Jenny Howell Acuna and her husband Max and Julie Friscia and her husband Todd. She had two great-grandsons, Eddie and Tony, known to her as "The Boys".

After raising her children, she graduated from Clarion University and embarked on a 25 year career as a registered nurse in Oil City and Erie, PA. Nursing was truly her passion and she touched the lives of many.

Her caring and generosity will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Plainfield. Her hobbies included swimming at the Carlisle Family YMCA, watching birds, following professional golf and finding bargains for her grandchildren.
The family thanks the staff members at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home and the Bridges at Bent Creek for the compassionate care given Frances over the last months of her life.

As per her wishes, private services and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Erie, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2070 Newville Road, Plainfield, PA 17081 or Project Share, 5 Orange Street, Suite 4, Carlisle, PA 17013.

Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
