Floyd R. "Red" Barrick

Floyd R. "Red" Barrick, 85, of Carlisle, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born December 21, 1928 in South Middleton Township, he was a son of the late John and May Mowers Barrick.
He retired after more than forty years of service at Carlisle Tire and Wheel. Red was a U. S. Army veteran who proudly served his country. He enjoyed racing of all types and bowling.
Surviving are three daughters, Pamela Sprecher (and companion, Tom Shultz) of Carlisle, Wendy Beckman (and husband, Jeffrey) of Carlisle, and Jody Geiling (and husband, Richard) of Carlisle. Also surviving are many brothers, sisters, step-brothers and step-sisters and four grandchildren, Drew Sprecher, Marylin Beckman, Dakota Geiling and BreeAna Geiling, all of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Burial will be in Waggoners United Methodist Church Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
