Evelyn Selene “Hefflefinger” Stuart, 90, of Carlisle, died Monday, December 31, 2012 at Forrest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
Born June 26, 1922 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late John and Loie Ott Hefflefinger and the widow of Alfred C. Stuart.
She retired from McCoy Electronics. Evelyn was a life member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle where she loved to sing and visit with friends and family
Surviving are two sons, Lynn Stuart (and wife, Kathy) of San Diego, CA and Doug Stuart (and wife, Leslie) of Carlisle; three brothers, Clair Hefflefinger (and wife, Barb) of Plainfield, Lynn Hefflefinger (and wife, Blanche) of Newville, and Wayne Hefflefinger (and wife, Mary) of Newville; two sisters, Miriam Barton of Chambersburg and Velva Weibly (and husband Robert) of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Steven, Christopher, Shelley, and Ashley; a great-granddaughter, Addison Mae and a great-grandson, Zane; and two step-sons, Ronald and Larry Stuart. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lana K. Stuart and four brothers, Edward, Kenneth, Lester, and Dean Hefflefinger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Charles A. Brophy officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
