Ethel M. Richwine (Prosser)

Ethel M. Richwine (Prosser), 93, of Carlisle, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born November 1, 1919 in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late William and Mildred Deitch Slothour and the widow of Jesse L. Richwine and Marshall L. Prosser.
She was a graduate of Carlisle High School. She was an Executive Administrative Assistant for the Carlisle Barracks and also the Naval Depot, Mechanicsburg. Ethel was a member of First United Methodist Church, Carlisle. She was a member of AARP; NARFE; YWCA; and the Golden Age Club. She enjoyed music, reading, crocheting and especially oil painting. She loved spending time with her family and traveling.
Surviving are one son, Gerald L. Richwine (and wife Patty) of Carlisle; one daughter, Nancy M. Shank (and husband Carl) of Marietta; one brother, William Slothour of Arizona; four step-daughters, Arlene Bartholomew of Carlisle, Karen Eby of New Cumberland, Shirley Lamp (and husband Harold) of Carlisle, and Bonita Forsythe of Mechanicsburg; fourteen grandchildren; and thirty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Slothour.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Carl Shank officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
