Ethel A. M. Cornman Putt, 93, formerly of Boiling Springs, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
Born April 17, 1917 in Lower Frankford Township, she was a daughter of the late Parker E. and Estelle Yorlets Cornman.
She was employed in housekeeping for Dr. William Stull, Cumberland County Nursing Home and the Carlisle Hospital and in the laundry department of Forest Park Nursing Home. She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church, Boiling Springs. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are one daughter, Betty Keck (and husband, Richard) of Carlisle, three sons, Rev. Robert E. Putt (and wife, Muffy) of Mt. Holly Springs, Lester Putt (and wife, Sylvia) of Boiling Springs and Gerald Putt (and wife, Kathy) of Boiling Springs, one sister, Romayne Albright, eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald L. Putt, Marlin S. Putt, two grandsons, Bryan Keck and Gregory Keck, one brother, Leroy Cornman and one sister, Edna Garlin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. D. Allan Mathna officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
