Elizabeth Joy Hughes, age 94, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
She was born September 24, 1921 in Des Moines, IA to the late Abe and Johanna Denberger VanRheenen and was the widow of the late Henry W. Hughes.
She is survived by three sons, Larry (and wife Grace) Hughes of Carlisle, Norman (and wife Francene) Hughes of Columbus, OH and Dwight Hughes, of Des Moines, IA and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Hughes.
