Elizabeth A. "Betty" Alber

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Alber, 83, of Carlisle and formerly of Collingswood and Moorestown, NJ, went to be with her first love, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.
She was born April 29, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late William and Annamae (Sutton) Worthington.
Betty loved serving the Lord by feeding others, hosting missionaries in her home and in so many other ways. She was a concert pianist who enjoyed playing the hymns of the faith. Betty enjoyed feeding and watching birds and was a talented gardener who grew many beautiful flowers. She was an avid quilter who adored teaching others. Betty was a loving Nana to her eleven grandchildren and to her two great-grandsons.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bertolet Alber of Carlisle; four children, Barbara (husband Don) Shughart of Carlisle, Bill (wife Pat) Alber of Medford, NJ, Bob (wife Barbara) Alber of Midlothian, TX, and Bonnie Jean (husband Jason) King of Durham, NC; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and her two fur bearing children, Micah and Martha. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Brian and Betsy and one brother, William Worthington.
A memorial service celebrating Betty’s life will be private and held at the convenience of the family at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty, to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 South Hanover Street Carlisle, PA 17013.
