Edward B. Shellehamer

November 28, 1927 — March 23, 2022

Edward B. Shellehamer, 94, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, March 23, 2022 at Green Ridge Village, Newville. He was the husband to Karolyn (Heishman) Shellehamer for 67 years.
Born in Newville, he was the son of the late Harry and Heneritta Hackett Shellehamer.
Edward graduated from Newville High School in 1946 and attended a business college in Harrisburg.
He proudly served in the US Army.
He worked at Dauphin Deposit Trust Company (M & T Bank) for 37 years. He was one of the original owners of GET Leasing, was an original partner of HSH Management and was a partner in Allen Distribution.
Edward was a charter member of the Plainfield Lions Club, a member of St. John's Lodge #260 F & AM where he was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg and a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.
In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his daughter, Nancy (husband Charlie) Shaffer of Mechanicsburg and his sister, Bertha Chestnut, of Carlisle. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, June Shellehamer.
Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Westminster Cemetery, 1159 Newville Road, Carlisle.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edward's name may be made to: St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 or to Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
