Edith Marie Garner

Edith Marie Garner, 70 of Carlisle and formerly of York County, died Friday, March 21, 2014 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.
Born December 6, 1943 in Fairfax County, VA, she was a daughter of the late William Everett and Evie Edith Thompson Caudle and the widow of Howard "Barney" S. Garner.
Edith was a 1963 graduate of Herndon High School, Herndon VA. She was formerly a cabinet maker for WayneCo Kitchens in Spring Grove and was an active part of the York County Racing Club for many years with her late husband. She loved her new friends at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and enjoyed her four year stay there. Edith was a loving grandmother and was of the Protestant Faith.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna Coder and her husband Geoffrey, Lewisberry, a brother, William Caudle and his wife Shirley, Virginia, a sister, Delphia Dennis, Virginia and three grandchildren, Dustin Bream, Tyler Bream and Chance Coder. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in the Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle PA 17013 is handling the arrangements.
At the family's request, contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the funeral expenses.
