Donna B. Frederick

Donna B. Frederick, age 74, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2018 at her home.
She was born February 5, 1943 in Carlisle to the late Eugene “Dick” and Aletha (Yoder) Burgner and was the widow of Robert I. Frederick, Jr.
Donna was a graduate of Carlisle H.S. She was employed as a Teller with Cumberland Valley Savings and Loan and later as a Personal Care Aid for the Carlisle School District until her retirement. She was a member of First UCC where she served as a deacon. Donna was a part of several game groups including her mahjong club, and very actively supported the Shriners along with her boyfriend who was a member. She volunteered at Carlisle Hospital and was above all else a dedicated grandmother.
She is survived by: one son, Robert C. Frederick of Boiling Springs; one daughter, Jean A. (husband Scott) Benfield of Carlisle; 5 grandchildren, Madison Benfield (fiancé Cole Fenton) of VA, Morgan Benfield of NC, Connor Benfield of Carlisle, Hailey Frederick of Boiling Springs, and Megan Frederick of Boiling Springs; Donna’s boyfriend, Robert Shriner of Carlisle, and her 2 dogs, Shadow and Honey.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First United Church of Christ, 30 N. Pitt St., Carlisle, PA with the Revs. Chris & Rachel Schwab co-officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
