Dennis J. Danko

Dennis J. Danko, 78, of Carlisle and formerly of Duquesne, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Thornwald Home.
He was born June 25, 1940 in Duquesne to the late Jules and Mary (Kacinka) Danko.
Dennis honorably served his country in the US Army. He was a graduate of Point Park University, Pittsburgh. Dennis loved Corvettes, his family, and everything Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers. He was formerly the Director of Facilities for Gimbels and Fisher Scientific both in Pittsburgh and later United Bank in Chantilly, VA where he retired.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara A. Danko of Carlisle; one son, Douglas (wife Cyndi) Danko of Potomac Falls, VA; and two grandchildren, Katie and Andrew Danko.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Rachel H. Schwab officiating. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
