David Leon Fisher

David L. Fisher, age 66, of Carlisle, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born on April 20, 1949 in Carlisle, PA to the late Clarence Albert and Doris Elizabet Myers Fisher. David was a 1967 graduate of Carlisle High School. He retired as a Tech SGT in the United States Air Force, and he served during the Vietnam Conflict with 21 years of service. David retired as an Information Management Specialist. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Carlisle Elks Lodge #578.
While in the Air Force, David received the following Ribbons and Metals; Air Force Training Ribbon, USAF NCO PFE Graduate Ribbon with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 4 Bronze Oak Leaf, Air Force Overseas Ribbon (Long Tour), Air Force Overseas Ribbon (Short Tour) with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf, National Defense Service Medal with 1 Silver Oak Leaf, Gallivant Unit Citation with 3 Bronze Oak Leaf, Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Commendation Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pamela M. Davis Fisher whom he married on June 18, 1994. Also surviving are two brothers; Allen Lee and his wife Patricia Fisher of Flowery Branch, GA, James Edward Fisher of Carlisle, two nieces; Erin and Scott Clifton and their two children, Sarah and Mitchell of Keller, TX, Amy and Gavin Maguire and their two children Shaw and Finley of Duluth, GA.
Private Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia with the Chaplain from the United States Air Force and Full Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force Burial Team.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
