Daniel J. Taylor, 49, of Carlisle, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born April 23, 1964 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Joseph R. and Martha Peterman Taylor.
He was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Class of 1983. Daniel was currently working as the service manager for CVM Auto Park, Mechanicsburg and was previously employed by Sun Motor Cars BMW, where he spent several years working as part of the service management team. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1299, the White Circle Club, and the VFW Post #477, all of Carlisle. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, boating, riding his Harley, ATV, watching the Steelers and spending quality time with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Lori Taylor of Carlisle; two daughters, Devon Marie and Ava Elizabeth Taylor; his significant other, Susan Croft of Carlisle and her son Bill. He was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Christine Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Chuck Kish officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Cumberland. A viewing will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 8, 2013 and 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Daniel J. Taylor Children's Education Fund c/o Members First Federal Credit Union, 5000 Louise Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 to aid in funding the education of his daughters.
