Daniel J. Newton

Daniel J. Newton, age 65, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
He was born July 22, 1956, in Port Jefferson, NY to the late Jay Nelson and Marie Margaret (Vanderplate) Newton.
Daniel loved fishing, traveling and was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda Newton; grandson Hunter Holcombe; brother Richard Newton and sisters Jean Hazard, Katherine Barreiro, Linda Green and Elizabeth Taggart. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his late parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his son Gregory Newton and brother Nelson Newton.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania, 55 Utley Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
