Daniel "Dan" Lee Moyer

Daniel Lee Moyer, age 59, of Gardners, PA died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Carlisle.
He was born in Harrisburg, PA on September 5, 1960 to the late Eugene A. Moyer and Helen A. Pugh Moyer of Mechanicsburg, PA.
Dan was a graduate of West Perry High School Class of 1978. He was the Project Manager for the Wyndham Homes of Carlisle. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the wildlife and critters that surrounded him. Dan always enjoyed riding his Triumph Rocket III. But most of all Dan loved the time he spent with his beautiful wife, children, grandchildren, and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lori A. Rhoades Moyer of Gardners; two step-sons, Daniel R. Longwell and wife, Joaquina and their children, Brandon, Zac, Matthew, Liberty and Lily of Pamplin, VA; Matthew A. Longwell and wife, Valerie and their two children, Mollie and Sawyer of New Bloomfield, PA; a step-daughter, Jamie L. Krietzer, husband Matthew and their son, Ethan of Blain, PA; his mother Helen A. Moyer of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, David S. Moyer of Landisburg, PA; and Leslie E. Moyer of Key West, FL, and his sister Carolyn L Brown of Anchorage, AK. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his nephew Levi and his wife Alison of Wytheville, VA.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 12:00 Noon in the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle with Pastor Kevin C. Stout officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services. As per the family and Dan, they request dress attire should be casual.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Dan’s name be made to the PA Wounded Worriers Project, 1117 Country Club Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
