Constance R. "Connie" Mains

Constance R. “Connie” Mains, 71, of Newville, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Sara A. Todd Memorial Home.
She was born August 22, 1947 in Carlisle to the late Frederick and Ruth (Smith) Chestnut.
Connie was a graduate of Big Spring High School. She was a selfless person who always put the needs of others before her own. Connie was especially fond of children, she owned and operated a day care in her home, taught Sunday School, helped in the nursery and Vacation Bible School at Dickinson Presbyterian Church where she was a member.
She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Francis R. Mains of Newville; one son, Kyle (wife Natasha) Kotzmoyer of Newville; one granddaughter, Kendall Kotzmoyer of Newville; one brother, Larry (wife Gloria) Chestnut of Shippensburg; one sister, Tam Deatrick of Carlisle; two step-sons, Richard Kotzmoyer of Carlisle, and Daniel (wife Sherri) Mains of Newville; and three step-grandchildren, Hunter Kotzmoyer of Carlisle, Aaron (wife Emily) Mains of Newville, and Alexandria (husband Cody) Hair of Newville. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard F. Kotzmoyer, and her brother-in-law, Ron Deatrick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA 17013 with Neal McCulloch officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday, both at the funeral home.
