Clyde Carson Worley

February 19, 1919 — April 14, 2015

Clyde Carson Worley, 96, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Forest Park Health Center.
He was born February 19, 1919 in Carlisle to the late Raymond A. and Shirley Elva Neidigh Worley.
Clyde was a veteran of the United State Army. He served in World War II in the 85th Infantry, 10th Mountain Division and received the Bronze Star. He achieved the rank of Technician 5th Grade at the time of his discharge from the Army. He retired from C.H. Masland & Sons after 46 years of service. Clyde was a member of the American Legion Post 574 in Mt. Holly Springs, the AMVETs Post 274 of Carlisle, the Carlisle VFW Post 477, White Circle, Eagle Aerie #1299 and the Carlisle Moose. In his prime, Clyde enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by a son, Gary R. Worley of Carlisle; two daughters, Carol L. Worley of Cape Coral, FL and Connie J. Worley of Arlington, VA; one granddaughter, Shawn and her husband Patrick Weis, and their two children, Trevor and Elizabeth all of Carlisle; three sisters, Florence Ahlers of Texas, Phyllis McCoy and Betty Long, both of Carlisle; and his companion Faye J. Leming of Forest Park Health Center. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael S. Worley; a daughter, Donna R. Worley; five brothers, Leroy, William, Raymond, Norman and John Worley; and three sisters, Renee Lippert, Blanche Meredith and Miriam Brickner.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Daniel L. Dennis officiating. Private interment will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m., Thursday until the time of the services.
