Clifton L. Prue

Clifton L. “Buck” Prue, 73, of Newville, entered into eternal rest after a long battle with illness on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Green Ridge Village.
He was born October 30, 1943 to the late Clifton A. and Estella (Donaldson) Prue and was married to Janet M. (Goodrich) Prue for the past 52 years.
Clifton honorably served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, music, and was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: his son, Randy L. (wife Brenda) Prue of Newville; four siblings, Sylvia, Donald, David and Carol; two granddaughters, Ashley Shank (husband Richard) of Carlisle, and Melissa Prue of Newville; and one great grandson, Parker Shank.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, 305 N. Prince St., Shippensburg, PA with Rev. Dwight Schlaline officiating. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA.
