Clair J. Johnson

Clair J. Johnson, 70, of Mechanicsburg, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home.
Born October 18, 1940 in Blairs Mills, he was a son of the late Roy and Vernal Devinney Johnson.
He was a supervisor for Valley Baking Company, Mechanicsburg. He worked for many years as a construction worker and was a member of the Local 1180 Labor Union. Clair was a very active member of the West Shore Church of the Brethren, Enola.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Barbara J. Johnson of Mechanicsburg, two sons, Kevin Johnson (and wife Kelli) of Frederick, MD, Curtis Johnson (and wife, Shea) of Mt. Holly Springs, one daughter, Lorie Kitzmiller ( and husband, Keith) of Mechanicsburg and one sister, Helen Cowan of Neelyton, five grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lee, Dick, Glenn and Carl and one sister, Josephine.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Frank Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Letort Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
