Cherie Carns Potter

Cherie Carns Potter, age 63, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016.
She was born February 1, 1953 in Carlisle, PA to the late William J. and Mary Jean (Ruble) Carns.
Cherie was a 1970 graduate of Carlisle High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University. She was recently honored for her 40 years of nursing service at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gerald W. Potter of Carlisle; and a son, Patrick Russell Oyler of Mt. Holly Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Carns, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with the Rev. Don E. Bender officiating. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
