Catherine I. Piper

Catherine I. Piper, 88, of Little River SC and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, at her residence with family by her side.
She was born December 10, 1929 in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Charles Myers and Edna Killinger Myers. She married Oliver Kuykendall: he preceded her in death. She then married Harold Piper and he preceded her in death.
She enjoyed riding motorcycle with her husband Harold. Catherine enjoyed dancing, camping, and bowling. She was very fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a special bond with her great-granddaughter Diamond Sabold.
Catherine is survived by her daughter: Norma Jacoby of Little River, SC, six grandchildren: Melissa (Dave) Moser, Mark (Melinda) Jacoby, Marcia (Michael) Sabold, Kristy (Jim) Deavers, Karla (Kevin) Doyle and Summer (Brandon) Wick, ten great-grandchildren: Diamond, Zac, Josh, Michael, Dylan, Zackary, Brittany, Amelia, Ashlyn and Kinsley, and seven brothers and sisters: Paul Myers, Eldon Myers, Charles Myers Jr, Lester Myers, Janet Lesher Lois Mellott and Robert Myers all of Carlisle.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Catherine was preceded in death by two sons: Arthur Kuykendall, Wayne Kuykendall, and six brothers and sisters: Roy Myers, Mary Ball, Cloyd Myers, Richard Myers, Mildred Colaman, and Joyce Weller.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, from 12:00 until time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
