Cassandra R. Eckrich

Cassandra R. Eckrich, age 70, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at the UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
She was born March 9, 1947 in Carlisle to the late Harry and Ruth (Plew) Eckrich.
Cassandra was a 1965 graduate of Carlisle High School and spent her entire life working for the Naval Supply Depot, Mechanicsburg and United Concordia, Harrisburg. She loved American Girl dolls, scrapbooking and cruises and was a member of the Mechanicsburg VFW, Post 6704. Cassandra was a proud grandmother, a compassionate woman and lived life her way.
She is survived by: her husband of 22 years, Kenneth R. Hetzel of Mechanicsburg; a son, William Roberts of West Virginia; two brothers, Chuck Eckrich of Wilkes-Barre and Steve Eckrich of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Joshua, Taylor, Nicholas, Jessica and Jeremiah; and a great-grandson, Booter. In addition to her parents, Cassandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Eidenshenk.
In keeping with Cassandra’s wishes, there will not be any services or visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
