Caroline Mcnitt Anderson

Caroline McNitt Anderson, age 97, of Carlisle, PA died at the Sarah Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle on Wednesday, October 21, 2015.
She was born April 2, 1918 in Reedsville, PA, the daughter of C. Kyle and Rhoda Bailey McNitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Anderson on October 4, 1997 and one brother, J. Bailey McNitt.
Caroline was a life member of the E. Kishacoquillas Presbyterian Church of Reedsville, PA and a founding member of the Logan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Colonists. During World War II, she was employed as a secretary at Camp Santa Anita, CA and Fort Lewis, WA. She retired from the Danks Departments Store in Lewistown where she was employed as credit manager for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Wismer of Pittsfield, MA and Barbara A. (and husband Edward) Plocki of Carlisle, PA; four grandsons, S. Douglas Wismer (and wife Dr. Kathy O'Mara) of Cottonwood Heights, UT, Jeffrey Wismer of Denver, CO, Andrew Wismer of Boston, MA and Dr. Alexander (and wife Caroline) Plocki of New Orleans, LA; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Elias, Donovan and Braydon.
Interment will be at the family's convenience in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, PA.
