Blaine H. Stoner

Blaine H. Stoner, age 76, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family and pastor.
He was born June 24, 1940 in Gardners, PA to the late Ora and Oren Kuntz.
Blaine was a happy, positive person who never met someone he didn’t like. He was proud of the fact that he worked from the time he was 7 years old, picking fruit, and had held over 25 jobs over the years to help support his family. He retired from Frog, Switch & Manufacturing Company after 34 years of service. He enjoyed people, family vacations to the shore and especially loved his grandchildren. Blaine enjoyed tinkering and was always fascinated by the mechanics of all types of objects.
He is survived by: his wife of almost 54 years, Vivian (Lay) Stoner of Carlisle; a son, Nathan (and wife Candy) Stoner of Carlisle; a daughter, Cassandra Briseno of Carlisle; three grandchildren, Blaine, Odessa and Niki; and three sisters. In addition to his parents, Blaine was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA with Pastor Leon Blosser officiating. Burial will follow at Letort Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
