Beulah E. "Boob" Bender

Beulah E. "Boob" Bender, age 87 of Carlisle, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 11, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Carlisle, PA, July 10, 1928 to the late Walter R. and Mary Ethel King Dick and the widow of Lester R. Bender and was the companion of the late Kenneth J. Adams.
Beulah retired from the former Carlisle Tire & Rubber Company after 30 plus years of service. She loved baking cookies, pies and had the "most famous fried chicken east of the Mississippi." Boob enjoyed visiting Lancaster County, especially the Shady Maple Farmers Market and the Amish people at the market.
She is survived by three sons, Barry R. and wife Deborah Bender of Dillsburg, PA, Lester Mark and wife Karen Bender of Mechanicsburg, PA and Jayme L. and wife Teresita Adams of Bridgeport, PA, a daughter Patricia L. and husband Ronald Hill of Carlisle, PA, nine grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Harvey Dick, three sisters, Sarah, Margaret and Dorothy.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 15, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, with the Reverend Richard L. Warner. Interment will be in the Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA. There will be a visitation at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
