Betty M. Pope

Betty M. Pope, 91, of Carlisle, PA passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle.

She was born on October 26, 1927 in Shippensburg, PA to the late Marshall and Claire (Rine) Martin.

Betty was a member of the First E. Lutheran Church. She retired from the Cumberland County Courthouse and volunteered at the Carlisle Hospital Gift Shop. Betty enjoyed knitting and sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Shank (husband Gary) of Carlisle; son, James D. Pope (wife Barbara) of Mt. Holly; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Pope.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
