Ardena B. Comp

Ardena B. Comp, age 70, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Manor Care-Carlisle.
She was born January 2, 1946 in Carlisle to the late Jack Walter and Elva Beatrice (Mellott) DeHart.
Ardena was a 1963 graduate of Carlisle High School. She retired after over 25 years as a secretary for the Carlisle Borough. She was a former member of the Molly Pitcher Stitchers and was a member of Waggoner's United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Ardena enjoyed shopping, traveling and playing the piano.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robert W. Comp of Carlisle; three daughters, Sheri A. Licklider of Denver, IN, Christine L. Otto of Carlisle and fiancé Steve Whistler and Brenda L. Barto-Cassell (and husband Bradley) of Newville; a brother, David Walter (and wife Betty) DeHart of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, Tayler Licklider, K.C. Licklider, Brandan Madarang, Sara Otto, Trisha Mowrey, Dustin Cassell and Jeremiah Whistler; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Waggoner's United Methodist Church, 1271 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Dr. Richard E. Dennison, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Waggoner's United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Saturday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services.
