Anna Augusta Dewalt Mullen

Anna Augusta Dewalt Mullen, 87, of Carlisle died on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle with her loving son and daughter by her side.
She was born on January 30, 1932 in Carlisle to the late William A. and Velva M. (Henry) Dewalt and was the widow of Jack F. Mullen who died in October 2013.
Anna retired from the Ahold Corp. as a bookkeeper to help take care of her loving parents. She was a former school aide in the Lamberton Middle School. Anna had displayed and sold for the Fuller Brush Co. and had demonstrated products for Giant Food Stores. She was a member of Carlisle Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Family and friends meant the most to Anna. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy J. (husband Johnny) Schall of Carlisle, two sons, Cassius J. Mullen of Hilton Head, S.C., Addison K. Mullen of Lake Worth, FL., a sister Geraldine McElwee of Newville, brother William C. (wife Nancy) Dewalt of Carlisle, five grandchildren, Scott and Nate Mullen and Erik, Mercedes and Jaclyn Schall. She was preceded by a son, Douglas S. Mullen, who died November 17, 2016 and a sister Julia (Dewalt) Throne Railing who died January 1994.
A gathering of family and friends to Celebrate the life of Anna D. Mullen will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA. Interment will be private in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Additional services will be held for Anna on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1 Mooredale Rd., Carlisle (717-245-0631). The Hall is located 3.5 miles from Rt. 465, going South on the Ritner Highway. Mooredale Rd. is on the left – just past the Cumberland Golf Course. John Swartz, elder in the Carlisle congregation will give the memorial talk.
