Ann E. Minich, 64, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the Harrisburg Hospital.
Born October 15, 1946 in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Marlin J. and Elsie Miller VanAsdalan and the widow of LeRoy W. Minich.
She worked as a payroll clerk for Kinney Shoe Corporation, Carlisle. She was a bookkeeper for the Carlisle Country Club. She was a member of Waggoners United Methodist Church, Carlisle where she was a member of the church’s prayer breakfast, Bible study, Ladies Loyalty Class and the Admin. Council. Ann was also the team mother for Waggoners Church Softball Team. She was a former member of the Cumberland Valley Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association. Also a huge NY Yankees fan.
Surviving are one son, Curtis L. Minich of Reading, one daughter, Jessica A. Dalinsky (and husband, Matthew) of Carlisle two brothers, Reginald VanAsdalan of Carlisle and M. George VanAsdalan of Shippensburg, one granddaughter, Cassie Minich and one step-granddaughter, Mary Kate Dalinsky. Also surviving are her extended families, Ernest Miller family and the Donnie Heishman families. She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia L. Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Waggoners United Methodist Church, 1271 Longs Gap Road, Carlisle with Rev. Timothy A. Funk officiating. Burial will be at Waggoners United Methodist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Saturday.
Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
