Scheryl A. Macnamara

Scheryl A. MacNamara, 63, of Carlisle passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 in her home.
She was born December 11, 1954 in Chambersburg to the late Harold and Laurene V. (Haverstock) Defenderfer.
Scheryl retired from Vectron, formerly McCoy Brothers after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and most of all the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin “Ed” J. MacNamara of Carlisle; her son, Gary L. Stevens Jr. of Chambersburg; her daughter, Carmalita Stevens of Shippensburg; two brothers, Terry E. Defenderfer of Shippensburg and Edward H. Defenderfer of Fayetteville; one sister, Virginia L. Sellers of Ft. Loudon; one step-son, Eddie MacNamara of Carlisle; one step-daughter, Brianne MacNamara of Philadelphia; her former husband, Gary L. Stevens, Sr. of Chambersburg and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Scheryl was preceded in death by one bother, Ronald R. Defenderfer.
A celebration of Scheryl’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 West Trindle Road Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
