Obituary for Richie E. Miller

Richie E. Miller, age 46, of Newville, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 12, 1971 at Lackland AFB, TX to Richard E. Miller of Newville and Vicki I. (Sanders) Miller of Dallastown.
Richie was a 1989 graduate of Carlisle High School and honorably served his country in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. After his discharge from the military, he was employed by Carlisle Tire and Wheel and Land-O-Lakes. He loved baseball, especially the Yankees, NASCAR and vacationing in Mexico.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his sister, Tammy Baughman (fiancé Tim Spangler) of Mechanicsburg; niece and nephew, Ganon and Tana Baughman, both of Landisburg; paternal grandfather, John W. Miller of Carlisle; step-brother, Melvin (wife Tina) Wolfe of Johnstown, NY; step-sister, Melanie Calaman of Newville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Richie was preceded in death by: his paternal grandmother, Betty Miller; maternal grandparents, Sterling and Betty Sanders; step-mother, Victoria Miller; and his cat, Cali.
Private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
