Mary Ann Strahosky

Mary Ann Strahosky, age 76, of Carlisle, died Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle Hospital Carlisle. She was born on December 23, 1941 in Pennsgrove, NJ to the late George E. and Ann T. (Gallagher) Hawkins.
Mary Ann had retired from the Ahold Corporation after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle. Mary Ann was very involved with her children’s sports and school activities when they were young. She was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Notre Dame football. For those who knew her, the Delaware beaches and Christmas time were both very important to her, but most of all her loving family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard A. Strahosky, Sr.; two sons Richard A. (wife Patricia) Strahosky, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Michael T. Strahosky of Carlisle; two daughters, Theresa (husband Charles) Nist, Kathleen (husband Skip) Barbour, both of Carlisle; nine grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren.
A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 87 Marsh Drive, Carlisle with Father Joshua Cavendar as Celebrant. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a visitation on Friday at the church from 10:00 am until time of mass.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary Ann Strahosky to the Forest Park Nursing and Rehab Center, 700 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.
