Marjorie Mary (O’Boyle) Demaree, age 91, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday morning, January 25, 2018, after suffering a stroke, with her daughter, Ellen, by her side.
Marjorie was born December 26, 1926 in Framingham, MA and was one of nine children born to David and Eleanore O’Boyle. She leaves behind: three daughters, Ellen Demaree, Susanne Marie Demaree and Pamela Jean Skubish; one son, David Michael Demaree; a brother, Peter Anthony O’Boyle; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by a son, Richard George Demaree and seven siblings.
Marge lived in Oklahoma City over 50 years and was a very successful business woman. She spent many years in Real Estate and ran an Employment Agency in Edmond for several years. Her last 5 years of employment she worked for the Federal Government downtown.
She loved the outdoors and loved to take road trips. Camping in her Toyota Van was one of her favorite things. She took several trips to Colorado to visit her daughters and to camp in the mountains. The beauty, fresh air, and tranquility of the Colorado mountains kept calling her back. Therefore, this is where her chosen final resting place will be.
