Linda E. Abbey

Linda E. Abbey, age 60, of Carlisle, died Friday, June 1, 2018 at UPMC Hospital, Carlisle with her loving family by her side.
She was born on May 17, 1958 in Chambersburg to the late Earl Edward and Jeanne Elizabeth (Smith) Lehman, Sr. and was the widow of Marc Andrea Abbey.
Linda was a former employee of the Carlisle Sentinel Newspaper for 12 years, working in many areas of the company, and she was also a former member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carlisle. Family meant the most to Linda, especially her two daughters, her grandchildren and her great-grandson.
She is survived by: two daughters, Vickie E. McKee (husband Rick) of Mt. Holly Springs, and Amanda L. Lake (husband Christopher) of Carlisle; one sister, Stacy E. Hartzell of Carlisle; four brothers, Earl E. Lehman, Jr., of Blue Ridge Summit, Robert E. Lehman of Chambersburg, Michael E. Lehman of Chambersburg, and Jacob D. Barrick of TN; five grandchildren, Coleton, Alexa, Tiffany, Susan, and Erica; and one great-grandson, Kamren. In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Rodney and Gary Lehman; and one sister, Leona Bolden.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
