John Galen George

John Galen George, 54 of Carlisle, died Saturday April 7, 2018 in the UPMC Carlisle.

He was born March 2, 1964 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Galen W. George.

He graduated from Carlisle High School, Class of 1983 and was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle. George was an avid Washington Redskins fan and spent a lot of time with his dad at Dickinson College where the Redskins trained.

Surviving are his mother, Carol Lee Flint George, Carlisle, and his aunts and uncles, Patsy Myers and husband, Eldon Myers, Carlisle, Cloyd and Kim George, of Port Charles, FL, Verna George, Carlisle, Susan Flint, of Arlington VA, Kelly and Phil Coles, UK and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with the Rev. James Ebe officiating. Burial will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the services in the funeral home.
