George Daniel Foster

George Daniel Foster, age 76 of Newville, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home.
He was born February 11, 1941 in Newville to the late Edward and Mable Irene (Gutshall) Foster.
George was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Airee 1299, Carlisle. He was formerly employed by CH Masland and Sons and Federal Equipment. George’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Carol L. (Cameron) Foster; two sons, Terry (wife Betty Jo) Foster, and Brian (wife Robyn) Foster both of Newville; two daughters, Kathy (husband Steve) Calaman, and Sharon Foster, both of Newville; three sisters, Gladys Gayman, Betty Nelson, and Ruth (husband Merele) Hoover all of Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Foster; one sister, Gloria “Sis” Chestnut; one grandson, Cody Otten; and one granddaughter, Ashley Calaman.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA with Rev. Anthony C. DeRosa officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be a viewing at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of the service on Thursday.
