Donald Jay Bowermaster

Donald Jay Bowermaster, age 81, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his residence.
He was born March 5, 1936 in Carlisle to the late Preston E. and Catharine (Derick) Bowermaster.
Donald retired from Carlisle Tire and Rubber as a foreman. He loved woodworking, spending time with family and collected coins and stamps. Donald was always available to help anyone in need. He was a member of the Industrial Management Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #1299 of Carlisle.
He is survived by: his wife of 38 years, Carolyn A. (Dick) Bowermaster of Carlisle; a daughter, Denise I. Winn of Carlisle; two sons, Mark W. Bowermaster and Jay C. Bowermaster, both of Carlisle; a brother, William M. Bowermaster of SC; a sister, Jean A. Phillips of Lemoyne; two step-sons, Jeffrey R. Yocum and Scott P. Yocum, both of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with interment at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Donald’s name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
