Betty P. Nelson

Betty P. Nelson, age 89, of Carlisle, passed away at Forest Park Health Center on Sunday May 20, 2018 with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 26, 1929 in Carlisle to the late Mervin and Sylvia (Kuntz) Peck.
Betty was the former proprietor of the Betty Nelson Mobile Home Park in Carlisle which she established in 1970. She loved to work with people, and no matter what the cause was, she was always there to help them in their time of need. Betty’s loving family meant the most to her.
She is survived by: 2 sons, John B. (wife Dianne) Nelson of Carlisle, Blair (wife Christine) Harry of Carlisle; 3 sisters, Romaine Toner McCommons of Mount Holly Springs, Patty Gallages, and Shirley Lovegiane, both of Dover, DE; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by a son, James B. Nelson; a daughter, Diane Nelson Schuck, 3 brothers, Harry Kuntz, and Richard and Robert Peck.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory. 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle with Pastor Kevin Dunlap officiating. There will be a viewing Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Westminster Memorial Gardens.
